The album was produced by Björk, Thomas Knak, Martin Console and Marius de Vries and was released on One Little Indian Records. The highly regarded and critically acclaimed album was a worldwide Top Twenty album, reaching #1 in Spain, France, Norway and on the U.S. Billboard Top Electronic Albums chart. The album peaked at #19 on the U.S. Billboard 200 album chart and #8 on the UK Albums Chart.
“Cocoon” was written and produced by Björk and Thomas Knak. The single was released on One Little Indian Records and peaked at #35 on the UK Singles Chart.
The music video for “Cocoon” was directed by Eiko Ishioka and features Björk in a skin-tight “nude-appearing” body suit. The video was deemed too risque for prime-time viewing by MTV and was not shown during those hours.
