The 8th XPOSED International Queer Film Festival Berlin is on from the 30th May — June 1st 2013 at the Kino Moviemento.XPOSED returns for its 8th year with a focus on queer Austrian avant-garde cinema. Films by Mara Mattuschka, VALIE EXPORT, Peter Tscherkassky, Dietmar Brehm, Maria Lassnig, Albert Sackl, A. Hans Schierl, Kathrina Daschner and many others will investigate the interplay of human bodies and cinematic form. Aesthetic and social norms will be disrupted, opening up a space of sexual ambiguities. Many of these cinematic experiments have been rarely shown in the past. All films present a diverse range of realities that defiantly pull the finger in the face of the binary society, proving just how political aesthetics and form can be.
